General Description | The modern 1 cent coin features two maple leaves on the same twig, first used in 1937 and has remained unchanged with one exception 1967. In 1947 India received its independence, so "IND IMP" (India's Emperor) had to be removed from the King's titles on any British Commonweath coins dating 1948 or newer |
