General Description | The Olmec were a Pre-Columbian civilization living in the tropical lowlands of south-central Mexico, near the modern-day cities of Veracruz and Tabasco. One of the four Olmec colossal heads at La Venta, is nearly 3 metres (9 ft) tall. |
