General Description | The Central Bank of Argentina issued this commemorative banknote alluding to the sixtieth anniversary of the death of Mrs. Maria Eva Duarte de Peron. The design and production were based on a project started after the death of Evita in 1952, which reproduced his image recreated by Italian artist Renato Garrasi. |
Front Description | It reproduces the portrait of Maria Eva Duarte de Peron decorated with a border of flowers, with security funds constituted by leaves and flowers of ceiba tree, as a symbol of Argentina. At the top center “BANCO CENTRAL DE LA REPUBLICA ARGENTINA - MARIA EVA DUARTE DE PERON 07 05 1919 - 26 07 1952” (birth and death), and below these dates the phrase: "As a woman I feel in the soul the warm tenderness of the people I came from and to whom I owe. " |
