Front Description | José Abelardo Quiñones Gonzáles (April 22, 1914 – July 23, 1941) was a Peruvian military aviator and national aviation hero. He sacrificed his life crashing into an Ecuadorian battery during the Battle of Zarumilla in the Ecuadorian–Peruvian war. On the left side of the character we see a view of the Aviation School in Las Palmas, which features a replica of the North American aircraft NA-50 'Torito' in which the hero sacrificed his life. |
Back Description | The back of the ticket corresponds to a photo taken at José Abelardo Quiñones in a show of high acrobatics (inverted flight) performed on a Caproni 113 aircraft to mark the end of the academic year 1938. It should be noted that the inverted flight was made at just two meters off the ground. |
