| General Description | Composition: 94% steel, 3.8% copper, 2.2% nickel plating 25-cent circulation coin commemorating the 50th birthday of the universally recognized Canadian flag. The coin was unveiled 9 june 2015 at centre field in Toronto's Varsity Stadium, before the kick-off to a CFL exhibition game between the Toronto Argonauts and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Out of a total of mintage of 12.5 million coins, 6.25 million will be coloured, and an equal number will be non-coloured. |

Description | Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II facing right over the mint mark Another Canadian artist, Susanna Blunt, designed the most recent effigy (since 2003) of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, again accompanied by the words ELIZABETH II D G REGINA. Blunt's version recalls the effigy of George VI, who also chose to be portrayed without a crown. |
