General Description GUELPH, ONTARIO, OCTOBER 23, 2015 – 2015 mark the 100th anniversary of Canadian Lieutenant-Colonel John McCrae penned In Flanders Fields on the battlefield of Ypres, Belgium, the Royal Canadian Mint has issued a 25 cents coin iconic poppy from the Flanders Fields. The poppy is enduring and powerful symbol of remembrance for all Canadians, to this day.
