General Description The modern 1 cent coin features two maple leaves on the same twig, first used in 1937 and has remained unchanged with one exception,1967.
Obv. Description Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, 27 years old, surrounded by the Latin inscription ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA, meaning Elizabeth II, by the grace of God, the Queen.
Rev. Description 1 cent with two maple leaves on the same twig, the date on the left and CANADA at the bottom
