General Description | This coin was given to me by my Aunt Ann sometime around I really started my coin collection. This was in the early 21st Century. Anna told me that the coin had been given to her by someone “who had his eyes on her” and said that in a few more years, it would be 100 years old or 1951. It is now 2014 or 163 years old. For some countries, this is a very new coin. But for the United States of America (US, or USA) it is in reality a new coin indeed. What I hope to include in my Article on USA coins, is to research how much this “copper” could buy when it was first minted; how much it could buy when my Aunt acquired it, and how much it might be worth in the present. It should prove to be an interesting story. © 2014 Yale M. Lansky a/k/a Coinrav All Rights Reserved.
