Obv. Description | The front (obverse) of the dime pictures a left-facing profile of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the only four-term President of the United States of America. This coin was was minted the year after the death of President Roosevelt; it was designed by John Ray Sinnock, the US Mint's Chief Engraver at the time. |
Rev. Description | The back (reverse) of the dime pictures a torch with an olive branch to the left and an oak branch to the right. The back reads, "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM" (which means, "Out of many, one"), and "ONE DIME." |
