General Description : | Neuville is a village on the north shore of the Saint Laurence River, just west of Quebec City In 1653, the area was granted as a seignory to Jean-François Bourdon de Dombourg, The place was also called Pointe-aux-Trembles (or Pointe-au-Tremble) in reference to the point on which the church was built that once was covered with aspen and birch. Later to be called Neuville. Mixed celebration of the 300th anniversary of Saint-François-de-Sales consecration (the parish saint) and founding of the place. |
