| General Description : | Commemorative medal of General cavallerie Johann Freiherr Von Appel 1826-1906 (also Baron Johann von Appel), was an Austrian administrator. He commanded the 15. corps and liberated SARAJEVO from the Ottoman empire. Later he was the Austrian governor of Bosnia and Herzegovina between 1882 and 1903. |
