Front Description : | The heraldic description and symbolism for the Military Personnel Command badge are: Argent a Canadian pale Gules and overall a winged sea lion passant Or armed and langued Azure holding in the dexter paw a torch Or enflamed proper. Red and white are our national colours and symbolizes Canadian society, from which the Canadian Forces draws for its personnel and to which its members return. The red and white also represent the two complimentary halves of the defence team within the Group, civilian and military. The lion poisson winged symbolizes the land, sea and air components of the Canadian Forces. The beast holds a torch representing the Command/Group training mission. The beast and torch are in gold, signifying nobility of purpose. |
