General Description | I got this pin in a grab bag from an antique shop in Mamaroneck, NY, USA. (Westchester County). I bought around the time when we were living there right after 9/11/2001. I sent an image of this to the archivist at the March of Dimes who was not able to ID the piece at the time. One interesting fact is the dime; was a mercury dime. It was the first time I had seen any type of material from a March of Dime campaign that had did not have a coin with FDR or Franklin Delano Roosevelt! I was born in 1958, so all the campaigns that I remember showed a dime with FDR!! It was course union made! |
