General Description | L'Etoile de la Mer (Ster der Zee) was a vacation colony in Koksijde, run by Dominican nuns. It was first housed in wooden barracks, which were changed into brick building during the interbellum. The Chapel was built in 1928. First a colony only for boys, it became mixed in 1952. The complex was closed in 1990 and at the moment only the chapel has survived. |
