General Description | Dubai is one of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is located south of the Persian Gulf on the Arabian Peninsula and has the largest population with the second-largest land territory by area of all the emirates, after Abu Dhabi. Dubai and Abu Dhabi are the only two emirates to have veto power over critical matters of national importance in the country's legislature. |
Front Description | (left) The Burj Al Arab "Arab Tower", also known as "Arab Sail" is a 5-star hotel. At 321 m, it is the fourth tallest hotel in the world. The Burj Al Arab stands on an artificial island 280 m out from Jumeirah beach, and is connected to the mainland by a private curving bridge. It is an iconic structure whose shape mimics the sail of a ship. (right) Jumeirah Beach Hotel. The hotel, which opened in 1997, the hotel contains 598 rooms and suites and 19 villas.
