General Description : | The legend of Our Lady with the Ink Pot: A certain night during the Middle Ages, a wealthy man was found murdered. Another man, who had just killed a pig, was arrested for the murder. Although he was innocent, he couldn't prove it and he was sentenced to death. At night Our Lady came to him in a dream with the Holy Child, and the Child marked something in gold on a perkament. When the poor man woke up, he found the perkament and, although he couldn'tread it, he saw the golden letters. When he gave the perkament to the magistrate, the magistrate read the words and ordered to release the man at once. Even if he has never known what was written, the poor man made a statue of Our Lady with the Ink Pot as a thanksgiving for his release. |
