General Description : | Leon Trésignies was a WW I hero. He stopped single-handed the Germans at the Canal of Willebroek in Grimbergen by swimming over the canal and opening the bridge (called Verbrande Brug). He was shot by the Germans during this action and posthoumusly made a corporal by king Albert I |
