General Description : | Louise Marie of Orléans (1812-1850) was the eldest daughter of the French King Louis-Philippe. She married in 1832 the Belgian king Leopold I (she was his second wife) and became the first Queen of Belgium. They had 4 children: Louis Philippe, who died very young, Leopold, who became the second King of the Belgians, Philippe, count of Flanders and father of the third Belgian king Albert I, and Charlotte, who married Maximilian of Habsburg and became empress of Mexico. |
