General Description : | Official First Day Covers in Richmond Hill, Ontario Gum Type: PVA Designed by Hélène L’Heureux at Interaction Design and illustrated by Susan Scott with calligraphy by Ngan Siu-Mui. The text on the stamps is in Traditional Chinese, English and French. This stamps celebrate the ram as the 8th creature in ancient Chinese zodiac. Three rams welcome spring and the Lunar New Year. The ram is a symbol of fertility and prosperity for the people of Guangzhou “Goat City” in China. The souvenir sheet is decorated with a rain of gold petals, representing an idealized landscape where three rams rest under a tree filled with plum blossoms. The design is inspired by China’s Danxia mountains. |
