General Description : | This stamp was created to celebrate ‘the second quarter century’ of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s shortwave transmission service. Utilizing a stylized maple leaf form, designer Burton Kramer explores offset and repeated forms as a visual metaphor for broadcasting. Notably, Kramer would employ this same metaphor in his famous CBC logo design, three years later. |
