| General Description : | Prime Ministers Series (1951-1961) Portrait engraved by Silas Robert Allen These two stamps continued the series inaugurated in 1951 to honour the prime ministers of Canada since Confederation. The 1952 designs were based on photographs supplied by the Public Archives of Canada. Portrait of the Hon. Alexander Mackenzie, Prime Minister of Canada from 7th November, 1873, to the 16th October, 1878. |
