| General Description : | The Jacques Cartier Bridge and Champlain are steel truss cantilever bridge crossing the Saint Lawrence River from Montreal Island,Quebec to the south shore. A 25-cent toll (8-cents if paid with tokens) was charged to cross the Bridge. The toll was collected until 1990, when the Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI), which took over jurisdiction of the in 1978, removed the toll plaza. |
