The coin is dated 1959 and was good for $1 in value at stores in Fairbanks through Dec. 31, 1959. Approximately 150,000 were circulated. Uncirculated condition with its original envelope. According to the literature, this is the only coin issued to commemorate the granting of statehood to Alaska, the 49th state. |
